Overview
Throughout this qualification, learners will develop their knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology and health and safety pertaining to level 4, non-medical aesthetic therapies.
What You Will Learn
Learners will develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to consult with and analyse clients whilst providing skin rejuvenation treatments. The following mandatory units will include:
Principles, practices and ethical considerations for advanced aesthetic therapies
Consultative techniques in advanced aesthetic therapies
Dermatological science for advanced aesthetic therapies
Provide skin needling treatments for skin rejuvenation
Provide superficial chemical peels for skin rejuvenation
Using Mesoestetic products
Entry Requirements
The VTCT Skills Level 4 Certificate in Advanced Aesthetic Therapies for Skin Rejuvenation is an advanced therapy qualification aimed at level 3 qualified practitioners aged 18 and over, who wish to add skin rejuvenation to their repertoire of treatment offerings. Learners are required to hold a level 3 beauty therapy qualification or equivalent.
Assessment , Duration and Progression
To obtain this qualification learners will undertake a blended series of methods, including, self-study, practical assessments, online exams and assignments. All practical assessments require learners to work on each other and on clients/live models. You will be required to formulate a specific course of treatments tailored to individual client needs.
Assessments: 5 Online Exams (MCQ) + 4 practical assessments per modality (Skin needling and Skin peels)
Duration: 10 weeks, part-time (1 day per week) There is a 2 week break in learning to allow theory work to be undertaken.
Progression: The primary purpose of this qualification is to prepare learners for employment in the advanced non-surgical aesthetic industry providing skin rejuvenation. Additionally, learners may choose to further develop their knowledge and skills by completing supplementary specialist qualifications within the higher-level beauty suite. The pathway begins at level 4, advances through level 5, and culminates at level 7, providing comprehensive knowledge and practical skills essential for each stage of aesthetic treatments. This structured progression ensures a seamless transition to higher-level training and expertise.
